Chhotaram Prajapat’s Homestay
Established in 2009, Chhotaram Prajapat’s Homestay holds the reputation of being one of the first Homestay around Jodhpur today. Prajapati’s are the weaver class. The home stay is located on the outskirts of Jodhpur in the village Salawas which is just 20 kms from city centre.
Traditionally, Prajapatis family business has been weaving (rug) making. Initially the weaving was done for the royal family and landlords. As time passed, the families could not manage to eke out a living just by weaving alone. Chhotaram’s father, Pukhraj Ji setup a co-operative with 45 families. Pukhraj Ji’s lavish house in Salawas was converted into a home stay. The homestay houses hutments which remain cool in summers and warm in winters.

Chhotaram Prajapat’s home stay is a very friendly place away from all the hustle of the city. Guests can taste typical Rajasthani home-cooked food. All delicacies are mouth-watering and prepared with full care keeping in mind the taste of the guests. As you come to Chhotaram Prajapat’s Homestay you feel the difference yourself
